Expelled from Francis Holland School in England for truancy, smoking, and selling copies of her own book of dirty limericks.

Younger sister of Joan Collins.

As the titillating London-born author of Rock Star (1999), Lucky Chances (1990) and Hollywood Wives (1985), the writer has had 400 million copies of her books sold in more than 40 countries.

In 1959, she changed her name to Lynn Curtis, because of forever being referred to as "sister of Joan Collins". Two years later, she felt comfortable enough to revert to her real name.

Sent her daughters to Francis Holland School in England, the same school that she was expelled from.

[from her last interview] Looking back, I'm not sorry about anything I did. I did it my way, as Frank Sinatra would say. I've written five books since the diagnosis [for stage 4 breast cancer], I've lived my life, I've traveled all over the world, I have not turned down book tours and no one has ever known until now when I feel as though I should come out with it. Now I want to save other people's lives.

[asked if she was dating anyone] I have a man for every occasion. When I was a kid growing up, I used to read my father's Playboy and I'd see those guys and they had fantastic cars and apartments. I have all of that now. Why would I want to hook myself up with one man when I've had two fantastic men in my life? One was my husband for 20 years and one was my fiance for six years.
