In November of 2003 Tommy Cole ran for and won an election to become Business Representative for Local 706, Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists Guild, a full time job as the person in charge of over 1700 active members working in the Television, Motion Picture, Commercial, Network Television and Theatrical venues in and out of Los Angeles. He negotiates and interprets many of the contracts that his members work under. As of 2008 he is still working in this position along with being the Television Academy Governor for his peer group, Makeup and Hair. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans.
