Biography

Robert Cohan was born on March 27, 1925 in New York City, New York, USA. He is known for Cell (1983), Martha Graham: An American Original in Performance (1957) and Music Now (1968). He died on January 13, 2021 in London, England, UK.

He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) before being awarded Knight Bachelor of the Order of the British Empire in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to choreography and dance. He is the founding artistic director of The Place.
