Joy Coghill was born on 13 May 1926 in Findlater, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was an actress, known for Double Jeopardy (1999), Shivers (1975) and Stargate SG-1 (1997). She was married to John Thorne. She died on 20 January 2017 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Received a Canadian Governor General&#39;s Performing Arts
Award in November 2002.

She was awarded the C.M. (Member of the Order of Canada) on October 25,
1990 for her services to theater arts in Canada.
