Biography

Barry Coe was born on November 26, 1934 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor, known for Peyton Place (1957), Jaws 2 (1978) and The 300 Spartans (1962). He was married to Jorunn Kristiansen. He died on July 16, 2019 in Palm Desert, California, USA.

From the late 1970s into the early 1980s, Barry Coe played "Mr. Goodwrench" in the television commercials for a chain of national auto part/repair stores.

His father Francis Elmer "Frank" Heacock, a writer and publicist for Warner Brothers, was killed in an auto accident in North Hollywood, CA, April 5, 1940.

Supporting actor and second lead of the 1950s and early 60s.

Discovered by a talent scout during a trip with his fraternity to Palm Springs and subsequently signed under contract by 20th Century Fox.

Attended the University of Southern California.
