Biography

Dawn Burgess has written, directed, and produced multiple short films and her directorial debut, Love in Daylight, has garnered several awards including Best Dramatic Feature, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Most recently her screenplay, Driving Her, took home the Grand Prize for Stage 32's Annual Dramatic Feature Screenplay Contest. Her love of writing and directing stems from a lengthy career in acting after studying at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Art in NYC. A long-time Screen Actor's Guild member and member of LA's award winning theatre company, Theatre Tribe, her deepest passion is breathing life into the complex characters she writes while collaborating with other like-minded artists.
