David Clyde was born on March 27, 1885 in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland, UK. He was an actor, known for Suzy (1936), The Feminine Touch (1941) and Bulldog Drummond's Peril (1938). He was married to Fay Holden. He died on May 17, 1945 in San Fernando Valley, California, USA.

Brother of film comic actor Andy Clyde and actress Jean Clyde.

Balding Scots character actor, in American films during the 1930's and 40's. He began his stage career with the Garrick Theatre Company, before moving to Vancouver, Canada, where he became co-owner of the Empress Theatre at Hastings and Gore. Moved to Hollywood in 1934.
