Sarah Clifford is the owner of Animal Savvy, the leading provider of animal actors in the entertainment industry. Beginning her career as a production assistant in 1999, she later worked as an Assistant Production Coordinator. Sarah found her true calling as an animal trainer in 2003. Since then, Sarah has provided top animal talent with her expertise and professionalism, contributing to over 500 film and television projects, including many Oscar-winning productions such as "The Artist." Today, Sarah is recognized as one of the most sought-after animal experts in the business. In addition to her work on set, she is an accomplished screenwriter, having written over a dozen screenplays. Sarah is also deeply passionate about animal rescue, dedicating much of her time to helping animals in need.

As of July 2020, Sarah lives on a small ranch in California with 16 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, 1 mini pig, 1 goat, 1 mini horse, and a parakeet. Most of which are rescues.

On November 30, 2018, when interviewed by Deadline, Sarah said this about her first trained movie dog: I was both Kuma's trainer and his owner. Losing Kuma is the hardest thing I have ever gone through. He was my best friend and the smartest dog I have ever known in my 40 years of life. When the time came to say my last goodbye, I fed him his favorite foods, chicken and watermelon, which he ate with vigor until the very end.
