- Took a break from The $25,000 Pyramid (1982), in the Summer of 1985, to concentrate on his announcing duties on Wheel of Fortune (1975). Clark left Pyramid for good, at the beginning of the fourth season, and his spot as primary announcer was filled by Johnny Gilbert. Clark did announce a couple of weeks of the syndicated spin-off The $100,000 Pyramid (1985) very early in it's run, but left that gig as well to concentrate on the mega-hit nighttime syndicated Wheel of Fortune (1983).
- Is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA.
- Was replaced by MG Kelly as the announcer for Wheel of Fortune, and then permanently by Charlie O'Donnell, a position O'Donnell held until his death in 2010.
