Biography

Francesca Cipriani D'Altorio (Popoli, July 3, 1984) is an Italian television personality.

Cipriani grew up in Sulmona, where she attended high school. Her beginnings in the Italian television world date back to 2005, when she debuted as a news anchor and correspondent for Onda TV, a local station in the Peligna Valley.

In 2006 she gained notoriety by participating as a contestant in the sixth edition of the reality show Big Brother. Between 2006 and 2007 she was host of Sky's weekly Show Television column, while the following year she took part in satirical programs aired on Sky Show and Comedy Central. In 2008 she was co-host of Qui studio a voi stadio, a sports program of local broadcaster Telelombardia, then took part in the Channel 5 television movie Finally Home, the Rai 2 sitcom Piloti, and the Italia 1 sitcom Medici miei.

In the fall of 2009 she took part as a correspondent in Barbara d'Urso's Channel 5 program Domenica Cinque. In the spring of 2010, shortly after making her debut in cinema with the film Un neomelodico presidente, she won with Federico Bianco the Italia 1 reality show La pupa e il secchione - Il ritorno; in the fall of 2010 she then took part, along with the other contestants of the aforementioned reality show, in the comedy program Colorado, also on the same broadcaster.

Also on Italia 1, in the first half of 2011 she joined Enrico Papi in hosting the game show Trasformat; in December of the same year she switched to Channel 5 and participated as a correspondent, assisted by Marco Ceriani, in Alfonso Signorini's program Kalispéra! On the same channel, in 2014 she was among the correspondents of Mattino Cinque, while between 2015 and 2016 she was among the regular guests of Piero Chiambretti's Grand Hotel Chiambretti. In the 2017-2018 television season, she returns to the cast of Colorado, this time as a comic sidekick; in 2018 she is among the contestants of the thirteenth edition of the reality show L'isola dei famosi, on Channel 5, where she finishes in fourth place overall. Since 2020, he has been in the cast of La pupa e il secchione e vice versa, joining first Paolo Ruffini as host in the third edition and then Andrea Pucci in the fourth edition. In 2021, he participated as a contestant in the reality show Grande Fratello VIP on Channel 5, retiring in the process.

Rome is a beautiful city. It is the pearl of Italy. I am from Abruzzo, so I am very close to Rome. It is beautiful historically, with its monuments, its fountains, its squares and its climate. It is a fantastic city, and tourists come from all over the world to see its beauty. I have not lived in Rome, however, I have been there for periods of time because I have done programs here in Rome. I also love the Roman cuisine.

The world of show business? I thought it was a much tougher, meaner world, but instead, as in all fields, you find good, good people and competitive, bad people with little generosity of spirit.
