- Savannah Churchill was born on August 21, 1915 in Colfax, Louisiana, USA. She was an actress, known for Souls of Sin (1949), Judas and the Black Messiah (2021) and Harlem Follies of 1949 (1950). She died on April 19, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
- A black R&B/jazz songstress of the 1940s and 1950s, in 1956 her career was virtually ended when she suffered long-term debilitating injuries after a drunk fell on top of her from a club balcony. It is thought that she never recovered from those injuries and eventually died from complications due to them.
