  • Jay Alan Christianson is an American actor from Blooming Prairie, MN, his 38th grandfather was the First King of Norway, Harald Fairhair, listed under the Royal Records in Oslo. He holds a Bachelors's degree in Organizational Behavior from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. Jay received his Screen Actors Guild card portraying Agent Jongsma, season 3, The Sopranos (2001), and his Equity card playing multiple characters in A.R. Gurney's The Dining Room (1998).

    In January, 2026, Jay finished his second Ryan Murphy Project, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, portraying Jury Foreman Charles I Richard’s, directed by Max Winkler.

    May, 2024, Jay filmed Ryan Murphy's new series, Grotesquerie, with Niecy Nash and Travis Kelce in the arresting, recurring role as Stan, The Homeless man, streaming in Sept. 2024 and Artist, Frank Bardo in Freeform's Good Trouble. He can also be seen in Showtime's American Gigolo (2022) in the recurring role as Kevin Finnegan.

    His film lead in Garrow (2018) received rave reviews and sold-out multiple theaters. Jay garnered accolades playing the 1960's and 70's serial killer Robert Francis Garrow alongside Philip Casanoff and Mark Valley. He can also be seen in Netflix's Roped and his acclaimed role as Dan, in Hooked on Amazon Prime. Television Guest-Star appearances include Law & Order SVU, Blackish, Without a Trace, Strong Medicine, and The Young & The Restless, to name a few. Jay is a Guest Artist at the California Institute of The Arts outside Los Angeles, where he resides, and directs/mentors an On-Camera acting class for Active Actors in Hollywood, CA.
