Biography

Steve Christian, p.g.a. started his film career as a Chartered Accountant advising his clients on media investment strategies. In 2001, Steve created his own investment vehicle, GasWorks Media Limited, advising and investing in over 80 films between 2001 and 2012. After a brief period as a director of Pinewood Studios, where Steve was responsible for investment in film and content (2012-2015), Steve concentrated on developing and producing a small number of titles with Fox Searchlight, which benefited from a more individual approach.

Steve was instrumental in the financing of over 100 film and television projects since 1995. He passed away in his home on the Isle of Man (2017) where he created the Isle of Man Government's film investment incentive and established the infrastructure for a wider media sector, which still remains.
