  • Internet rumors had circulated since July 2009 of his death; the Social Security Death Index lists that a Marc Christian MacGinnis died on 2 June. Yet his family did not confirm until December to the Los Angeles Times, citing Christian's wish for privacy.
  • Was involved with Rock Hudson during the period when Hudson knew that he had AIDS, but did not disclose it to Christian. Represented by Marvin Mitchelson, he sued Hudson's estate for damages and emotional distress. In 1989 he won a $21.7 million jury award, later reduced to $5.5 million. In 1991, he settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.
