Biography

Grace Quek, aka Annabel Chong, is a Singaporean former adult film actress and digital creator. She gained international attention in the mid-1990s after starring in a film promoted as the "World's Biggest Gang Bang," which set a record for the number of sexual acts performed and was commercially successful, influencing trends in adult entertainment. Her career in adult films spanned from 1994 to 2003, during which she also appeared in other film genres, including horror and science fiction, and was the subject of the documentary Sex: The Annabel Chong Story.

Raised in Singapore in a middle-class Protestant Chinese family, Quek was the only child of two teachers. She attended Raffles Girls' School and Hwa Chong Junior College, participating in Singapore's Gifted Education Programme. After completing her A-levels, she took several gap years, including time in the United States, before earning a scholarship to study law at King's College London. Following a traumatic experience in England, she left law school and pursued studies in photography, art, and gender studies at the University of Southern California, where she also began her adult film career. She later advanced to graduate studies in gender studies at USC.

After retiring from the adult industry in 2003, Quek transitioned to a career in software engineering. Beyond her film work, she has been an advocate for sex workers' rights and has spoken publicly against exploitation within the industry. Her life and career have been explored in documentaries and literature, highlighting her complex impact on both adult entertainment and discussions around gender and sexuality.
