A regular for bit parts in Woody Allen movies, and numerous commercials. He may be best known for his comedic roles, such as his turn as Dr Walter Jerome in the Emmy-winning early-2000s sitcom "Ed", and for the short-lived "Knights of Prosperity". He also played a recurring role on the Conan O'Brian show as bandleader Max Weinberg's irreverent father.
Born in California, later graduated from Yale and moved to New York. Served in a Naval Hospital in St. Albans, New York during the war. Became a journalist, writing mainly about business and economics, Wall St., etc. Later in life decided to become an actor and studied at Weist Barron. Mostly played bit parts and commercials until his fan-favorite turn in "Ed".
