- Her husband Dick Metz (1908-1993) was a top flight golfer and avid cattle rancher. Declining health compelled Metz to commit suicide in the parking lot of an Arkansas City, KS funeral home on 4 May 1993. The couple had two sons Craig and James; a daughter, Joan Stork, and one grandchild.
- She was one of 38 nominees who competed to be a WAMPAS Baby Star for 1934, but was ultimately not selected to be one of the thirteen Baby Stars for that year.
