Biography

Janine Charrat was born on July 24, 1924 in Grenoble, France. She was an actress, known for Ballerina (1937), Panorama Musical (1945) and Scorching Sands (1963). She was married to Gérard Bouret and Michel Humbert. She died on August 29, 2017 in Paris, France.

Dec. 18, 1961: While performing ballet "Les algues" for French TV, her clothes began to burn, and she suffered severe burns (70% of her skin were destroyed). However, 540 days later, she starred in a new ballet in Geneva (Switzermand).

She was a French ballerina who was one of the first women to became a ballet choreographer.
