Michael Charlton was born on May 1, 1927 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was a writer, known for Out of the Fiery Furnace (1983), The 5th Annual TV Week Logie Awards (1963) and The Gladys Half-Hour (1958). He died on August 24, 2025 in the UK.

In 1963, he won the Australian Gold Logie award for his work.

Started his career at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). He worked as a presenter for current affairs shows.
