Blanche Chapman was born in November 1851 in Covington, Kentucky, USA. She was an actress, known for Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch (1914). She was married to Henry Clay Ford. She died on June 7, 1941 in Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.

Husband was manager of Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C.

Her husband was a witness to the assassination of US President Abraham Lincoln.

In the days before vaudeville, when extravaganza stage shows were all the vogue, Blanch Chapman was half of the popular song and dance team "The Chapman Sisters".

She performed in traveling road shows with Edwin Forrest and Edwin Booth.

She played Mrs. Wiggs in the play "Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch" for 7 years.
