Biography

Wah Chang was born on August 2, 1917 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. He is known for The Time Machine (1960), Big Daddy (1969) and Land of the Lost (1974). He was married to Glennella Taylor Chang. He died on December 22, 2003 in Carmel, California, USA.

Created the flip-open communicator and the medical tricorder for Star Trek (1966)

Although never got any screen credit for his work on the show, he created a lot of props and designs in the first season of "Star Trek" (1966). These include the puppet of Balok for "The Corbomite Maneuver", the Romulan starship for "Balance of Terror" and the Gorn's full body make-up for "Arena".

Designed the titular time travel device used in The Time Machine (1960).
