Rachel Chagall was born on November 24, 1952 in New York City, New York, USA. She is an actress and writer, known for The Nanny (1993), Gaby: A True Story (1987) and The Simple Life (1998). She is married to Greg Lenert. They have two children.

Has twins named Eve and Jonah (b. March 19, 1999). The same names Nanny Fine gave to her twins when she had them on the TV show: Eve Catherine and Jonah Samuel.

Took the name "Chagall" because there was already an actress named "Rachel Levin", and Marc Chagall (the artist) was her grandmother's first cousin (source: interview KTLA Morning News 13 January 1998).

Was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome in 1982.
