- Louis Cha was born on March 10, 1924 in Haining, Zhejiang Province, China. He was a writer and director, known for The Romance of the Condor Heroes (2014), Sakra (2023) and The Bride Hunter (1960). He was married to Lin Leyi, Zhu Mei and Du Zhifen. He died on October 30, 2018 in Hong Kong, China(undisclosed).

- World's largest-selling author of martial arts novels, with over 300 million copies of his works sold through 2004.
- He wrote under the name Jin Yong, and was a household name in many Chinese-speaking parts of Asia, inspiring TV shows, comics and video games.
