- Maria Elzbieta Cembrzynska adopted the name Iga during her studies.
- Iga Cembrzynska studied philosophy at Uniwersytet Mikolaja Kopernika in Torun and later at the National Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw from which she graduated in 1962.
