Biography

Rogério Ceitil was born on March 13, 1937 in Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal. He was a director and editor, known for Duarte & C.a (1985), Zé Gato (1979) and Cartas na Mesa (1975). He died on April 9, 2025 in Portugal.

Ceitil, who also had an audiovisual production company, made some programmes for younger audiences for RTP, namely "O Bando dos Quatro" and "O Beijo de Judas".

For his film "Before Goodbye" he received the Honorable Mention awarded by the jury of the "XXI International Festival of Auteur Film" in San Remo, Italy.

Rogério Ceitil started out making amateur films, was part of the Cineclube Vilafranquense and began his professional career in 1971 with the film "Grande Grande Era a Cidade".

Rogério Ceitil was a Portuguese producer and director who started in the 60's as a filmmaker. Before that he worked as a journalist.

Rogério Ceitil has never given interviews about his series and films.
