Frank Cavett was born on December 27, 1905 in Jackson, Ohio, USA. He was a writer and assistant director, known for Going My Way (1944), The Greatest Show on Earth (1952) and Smash-Up: The Story of a Woman (1947). He was married to Mary Oakes. He died on March 25, 1973 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

Educated at Ohio University and Yale.

His Wife, Mary Oakes, his two sons, Morgan Cavett and Jon Cavett, and his grandson Bill Jacobs all have IMDB listings. His daughter Susie Cavett, appeared uncredited in 2 films, but no listing can be found. Only his granddaughter in NYC wanted nothing to do with the movie industry!!.
