Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Antônio José Rodrigues Cavalcante, known by his stage name Tom Cavalcante, was born in Fortaleza. He works as a comedian, actor, announcer, voice actor and presenter, being known for creating characters and his talent for impersonations. Since childhood, Tom showed his talent for singing, impersonating singers and making animal sounds with great ease!

His career began at the age of 18 as an FM radio announcer in Ceará, Brazil. During this period, he started his first comedy performances in city bars. The comedian made his television debut in 1992 on the show "Escolinha do Professor Raimundo" on TV Globo, where he stayed for many years. From 1996 to 1999, he was part of the cast of "Sai de Baixo" with the famous character Ribamar. From 2000 to 2001, he starred in the show "MegaTom". In 2002, he joined the cast of "Zorra Total", and his participation was marked by the character Piti Bicha. In 2004, the artist moved to Rede Record with the show "Show do Tom". From 2016 to 2019, he was the protagonist of the comedy show "Multi Tom" on the Multishow channel. In 2018 and 2019, he participated in the comedy series "Dra Darci". In 2020 and 2021, Tom starred in the show "Faz Teu Nome" alongside comedian Tirullipa.

In cinema, Tom acted in the film "Os Parças" in 2017, "Os Parças 2", and in the film "Sai de Baixo" in 2019. The actor has received several awards for his work. He won the Troféu Imprensa five times, was chosen as Best Comedian three times at the Prêmio Melhores do Ano do Domingão do Faustão and was elected Personality of the Year by Isto É Gente in 2007, among others. In 2021, he started hosting the reality show "LOL: Last One Laughing Brazil" on Amazon Prime Video, and in 2024, he will premiere a new season of Dra Darci on Multishow, the show Os Parças on Globoplay and return to open TV, presenting the show Acerte ou Caia on TV Record with great success.
