Wayne started a 3yr classical training at The Webber Douglas Academy in London. Since leaving college he has performed for many theatre companies in the UK including, RSC, National Theatre, Cheek By Jowl and Theatr Clwyd. Wayne was a member of the RSC's Jacobethan season, winners of an Olivier for Outstanding Achievement. He has toured the world doing Shakespeare. He has also done a residency at the Princess Of Wales Theatre, Toronto, as a member of the production of Nicholas Nickleby. He was also nominated for Best Actor at the Wales Theatre Awards for his performance as Hamlet for The Wales Theatre Company, directed by Michael Bogdanov.
