Biography

Oscar Castro was born on May 13, 1947 in Santiago, Chile. He was an actor, known for One Can Always Dream (1991), La Cavale des fous (1993) and Notorious Nobodies (1984). He died on April 25, 2021 in Paris, France.

Father of Cosme Castro.

He founded in 1968 in Chile the Aleph theater with friends including Michelle Bachelet. Exiled in France after the Pinochet coup, he founded a new version of that theater that still exists. He is the father of theater actress Andréa Castro.
