Lynne Carver was born on 13 September 1916 in Douglas, Arizona, USA. She was an actress, known for The Bride Wore Red (1937), Dulcy (1940) and Everybody Sing (1938). She was married to John Burt, William J. Mullaney, Nicholas Nayfack and R. C. McClung. She died on 12 August 1955 in New York City, New York, USA.

Forced to retire in 1948 due to failing health.

Began in RKO musicals in which she was billed as Virginia Reid.

Born into a prominent Kentucky family, Lynne Carver&#39;s father, Reid Johnson Sampson was a mining engineer in Arizona and New Mexico after World War I, and her family was briefly detained by Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa during one of his raids against the United States when she was an infant.
