Biography

Lincoln J. Carter was born on April 15, 1865 in Rochester, New York, USA. He was a writer and director, known for Chattanooga (1912), The Cyclone Rider (1924) and The Eleventh Hour (1923). He was married to Mrs. Mary L. Beane Whitmer and Louisa Maria Simms. He died on July 13, 1926 in Goshen, Indiana, USA.

Interred in Violet Cemetery, Goshen, Indiana.

Playwright who during the late 19th and early 20th century authored scores of popular melodramas. His realistic staging of such dramatic events as train and ship wrecks were only surpassed by the advent of motion pictures.
