Biography

He is part owner of the production company Celador, which makes Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (1998). From which he has become a Millionaire many times over.

Father of actress Lucy Davis and Jenny Davis.

Went to school with Bev Bevan, drummer with the pop group Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).

He was made an O.B.E. (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the 2003 Queen's New Year's Honours List for services to charity.

Toured with comedienne Victoria Wood in the 1970s.
