Wrote a script for UA in the late 1980s entitled "Atuk", a fish out of water comedy about an Eskimo who comes to New York City; production shut down first day of shooting when its star, Sam Kinison, refused to continue. Other actors attached at one time or another to the role, including John Belushi and John Candy, all--like Kinison--died young, fostering a legend the project was cursed.
