Jonathan Carroll(I)

Jonathan Carroll was born in New York City to screenwriter Sidney Carroll and actress/lyricist June Sillman. While being a juvenile delinquent a childhood friend was shot and killed by the police. At this point his parents enrolled him in the The Loomis School in Connecticut. He attended Rutgers University where he graduated cum laude. He received his Masters Degree from the University of Virginia. He then became an English teacher teaching at the North State Academy in Hickory, North Carolina, St. Louis County Day School and then the American International School in Vienna, Austria. He has become an acclaimed short story writer and novelist.
