Biography

Simon Carr joined Axis Studios as Creative Supervisor with more than thirty years in the industry, the last twenty of which as shoot and post VFX Supervision. Carr's portfolio of credits includes Star Trek Into Darkness, Oblivion, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Mank, which went on to win 'Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature' at the 19th annual VES awards. Sim was also the overall VFX Supervisor for The Man Who Fell To Earth, which earned him an Emmy nomination.

With him, he also brings a wealth of experience working for some of the world's most renowned studios: Animal Logic, Framestore, Method Studios, The Magic Camera Company, to name a few. In his role, he uses his hefty knowledge and expertise to oversee creative direction and output across all TV and film VFX projects whilst working with Axis' global teams. Together, the combination of both Simon and the studio's creative ambition will continue the evolution of Axis VFX as a high-end VFX studio.
