Carole Carr was born on March 26, 1928 in London, England, UK. She was an actress, known for Down Among the Z Men (1952), Don't Spare the Horses (1952) and The Eric Barker Half-Hour (1951). She was married to Peter Arthur Leuw. She died on January 8, 1997 in Devon, England, UK.

She was the first singer to appear on British television when it resumed after the Second World War, and also the first to appear on colour television test broadcasts in Britain in 1957

Started her career as a dance-band singer at 14

Her elder sister was the comedienne, pianist and singer Dorothy Carless.
