Pete Carpenter was born on April 1, 1914 in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, USA. He was a composer, known for Vanishing Point (1971), The A-Team (2010) and Blue Ruin (2013). He was married to Maybeth Carr. He died on October 15, 1987 in Valley Village, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Frequently worked with other legendary TV composer Mike Post on shows like The Rockford Files (1974), Magnum, P.I. (1980), and The A-Team (1983).
