Biography

Andrea Carnevali

Overview

  • Born
    January 21, 1972 · Milan, Italy

Biography

  • Born in Milan, Italy, he studied in Rome before moving to London in 1991, where he's been living since. He graduated at the London Film School as a writer, producer and director with a 55 minutes film on 16mm called "My Home Town". He also received a distinction in editing and sound and a Special Award for the Best Student of the year (Adams Award).

Since then he's been working mainly as an editor in countless TV programs for some of the major channels: BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Discovery, Netflix etc.

In 2000 he founded his first limited Company (One Hundred Films), specialized in "EPKs" and "making of". A year later, inspired by Spielberg's work with the Shoa Fundation, he worked on the creation of a video archive containing testimonies from hundreds of survivors from the religion persecutions in Russia before, during and after the 1st World War. Some of the footage collected over the years has then been used in the documentary "The Living Testimony".

In 2006 he officially joined the BBC and moved into producing and directing, as well as carrying on editing some of the biggest landmark art series.

In 2017 he left the BBC and founded his own company, Storylines Production. Today is still working as a producer, director and editor.
