Biography

Rogério Cardoso was born on March 7, 1937 in Mococa, São Paulo, Brazil. He was an actor, known for Hilda Hurricane (1998), A Dog's Will (2000) and Big Family (2001). He was married to Darcy Ladeira Dias. He died on July 23, 2003 in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Two sons: Valéria and Rogério Junior.

In 1969, Rogério Cardoso starred in the comedic Volkswagen Variant commercial.

Rogério Cardoso studied dentistry for two years in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, but interrupted his studies to pursue an artistic career.

In the 1990s, he became well known to the television audience as Rolando Lero on Escolinha do Professor Raimundo of Rede Globo. He launched catchphrases like "Amado Mestre!" (Beloved Master!) and "Captei Vossa Mensagem, Amado Guru!" (I have captured your message, beloved guru!).

In the early 2000s, he acted alongside actress Nair Bello on the comedy show Zorra Total, where he played the character Epitáfio, and his last work was as Floriano Souza (Seu Flor) in the series A Grande Família, both projects also produced by Rede Globo.
