- Lori graduated with a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Classically trained, she is known for her work in the theater including originating the role of Rachel Fitzsimmons in Craig Lucas's play Reckless. Lori's son Jake Rogal is an Emmy award winning documentary film maker known for The Last Dance, A Murder in Boston and Court of Gold among many others. Her daughter Kate Rogal is an accomplished artist, screen writer and actress. After Lori's work in Day of the Dead she decided to dedicate her time to raising her young children. Lori's photography has been featured in art galleries in NY and Pittsburgh.

- She was the star of George A. Romero's Day of the Dead (1985). Her father, Bill Cardille, appeared as a reporter in the original Night of the Living Dead (1968).
