Vinicio Canton started his career as a scriptwriter in the early 90's, writing stories and scripts for the sci-fi comic series Legs Weaver published by Sergio Bonelli Editore.
In the late 90's his first feature script A casa di Irma became a movie.
Since then he shifted from comics to audiovisual, working for the first Italian soap opera Un posto al Sole from its first season, starting as staff writer and becoming the head of script editors team in two seasons.
In the meantime, his second feature script for the comedy Non lo sappiamo ancora was produced by Italian company Rodeo Drive and successfully distributed.
His credits include, between others, dozen of episodes for three cops shows, La squadra, Distretto di Polizia and RIS - delitti imperfetti the latter adapted for French and German television.
Vinicio Canton is co-creator and writer of the supernatural thriller series Il restauratore and the prized miniseries L'amore strappato, for which is writing an unexpected second season.
They talk, his last supernatural thriller feature script, has been screened in 2021 in Italy and distributed in USA by Uncork'd Entertainment.
Born in Geneva, grew up in Milan, lived in Naples and finally settled in Rome once a year moves to Trieste to tutoring the young winners of the international script prize Mattador.
