Jim Cantafio was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is an actor, known for Million Dollar Baby (2004), Live Free or Die Hard (2007) and Changeling (2008).

3rd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Graduated from Oak Park River Forset High School, Oak Park, Illinois, was a classmate of Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and a year behind Dan Castellaneta.

One of 11 children.

While in high school joined his brother Joe's band, Jade 50's.
