Dick Callinan was born on 20 October 1927 in Columbus, Ohio, USA. He was an actor, known for Bananas (1971), South Beach (1993) and Miami Vice (1984). He died on 25 August 2009 in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
He played the astronaut Captain Billy Cutshaw in The Exorcist, although his name isn't given, only his occupation ("You're gonna die up there" as Linda Blair says)... Then, in Exorcist writer William Peter Blatty's The Ninth Configuration, Scott Wilson played the role. Dick also played a priest in Woody Allen's Bananas in a mock-commercial for New Testament Cigarettes.
