Biography

Engin Çaglar was born on August 28, 1940 in Istanbul, Turkey. He was an actor, known for Yalniz adam (1969), Civan Ali (1970) and Cinayetin Sirri (2001). He was married to Filiz Vural. He died on October 31, 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey.

He studied at Robert College, then completed his university education in Germany.

His mother came from Skopje and his father came from a small town on the shores of the Sea of Azov.

Did his military service as a sailor, also worked in Cyprus.

He played football for a short time in Galatasaray in his youth.

Caglar was injured after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road in Sisli on 31 October 2025. He was taken to the hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
