Biography

Hansjoachim Büttner was born on November 2, 1900 in Coburg, Germany. He was an actor, known for Der Richter von Zalamea (1956), A Certain Mr. Gran (1933) and Geheimcode B 13 (1967). He died on July 28, 1973 in Potsdam, German Democratic Republic.

At the age of 20 he made his stage debut at the Landestheater zu Schwerin. This was followed by engagements in Bonn, Vienna, Darmstadt, Bremen and Berlin, where he appeared on stage from 1931.

After the end of World War 2 he continued both his stage and film career.

The actor Hansjoachim Büttner came into contact with the life of an artist at an early age, as his father Max Büttner was a chamber singer.

During his studies in art history and philosophy, Hansjoachim Büttner already took his first acting lessons with the well-known theater actor Ferdinand Gregori.

After the Second World War he appeared in East German films.
