Biography

Jule Böwe was born in 1969 in Rostock, German Democratic Republic. She is an actress, known for Gefangene (2006), Heart of Stone (2016) and Red Stars Upon the Field (2025).

Her mother is a psychologist, her father a neurologist.

Before starting her acting career, she worked as an occupational therapist in Berlin.

Ensemble member at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, a Berlin theater since 1999.

Chosen "Upcoming Actress of the Year" by "Theater Heute" magazine in 1998.

Her nickname Jule was made up by a friend who was her roommate in a students hall of residence.
