Biography

Jessie Busley was born on March 10, 1869 in Albany, New York, USA. She was an actress, known for Brother Rat (1938), King of the Underworld (1939) and Brother Rat and a Baby (1940). She was married to Ernest Joy and John McFedries (aka Jack Ferris). She died on April 20, 1950 in New York City, New York, USA.

Several months after their marriage Ernest Joy tried to shoot a press agent in a jealous rage after he saw him leaving a theater with his wife. The shot went wide, the press agent left town, all charges were dropped and the next year the marriage went south.

Starred in over 25 Charles Frohman productions in 15 years.

Veteran actress/comedian who performed on stage, screen and radio for over six decades.
