She was a writer and editor, known for The Life and Times of Frida Kahlo (2005), The Shakers: Hands to Work, Hearts to God (1984) and Brooklyn Bridge (1981). She was married to Ken Burns and Rod Thibeault. She died on August 26, 2022 in Walpole, New Hampshire, USA.
