- Alan Burnett was born in 1949 in the USA. He is a producer and writer, known for Batman Beyond (1999), Superman: The Animated Series (1996) and The Batman (2004).
- He was the one who came up with the idea to have the first episode of Batman: Beyond start off with Bruce Wayne's last night out as Batman.
- Responsible for the "Darkwing" in "Darkwing Duck", having won an in-house contest to rename the character. Producer Tad Stones added "Duck" ("for silliness").
- Burnett refused to produce the Cartoon Network series, "Justice League" (2001).
