Biography

Caroline Burke was born on July 7, 1913 in Portland, Oregon, USA. She was an actress, known for The Mysterious Rider (1942), Silent Witness (1943) and Spy Train (1943). She died on December 5, 1964 in New York City, New York, USA.

Majored in art at Bryn Mawr College.

Collected modern art, including paintings and drawings by Picasso, Gauguin, Klee, Miro, Vuillard and Roualt and sculpture by Rodin, Degas, Braque and Zorach.

Produced Broadway plays (especially by Harold Pinter). From 1946 to 1956, she was a prolific writer/producer for NBC television, as well as art editor for Diplomat magazine, owner of a California radio station and teacher of television production at Columbia University.

Had a reputation for witty conversation and as a party girl.

At one time worked as an advertising and radio writer on the West Coast.
